As we watched the Dodgers and Diamondbacks we were also really into the scoreboard that showed all the games that were going on that night. We were really into the Tampa Rays game against the Yankees. It was such a good game to us and twice as suspenseful because we were just waiting for the stats to change, because we couldn't see the game!
We had seen on the board that all of the underdogs won there games and the people who were "a shoe in" for the playoff lost there games and were out. It was funny to go home and see that the Red Sox had the biggest let down in all of regular season baseball history. Not because of the loss, but because the Red Sox are one of those teams who has money, players, and had a 9 game lead. Yet didn't make it to the playoffs. That shows you that anything is possible in the world of Baseball. Derek and I had so much fun last night first watching the Dodgers win, then going home and watching ESPN all night!
What a great day in baseball history, for the underdogs!
Highlights of the Dodgers game....
Seeing Kershaw who is a Cy Young contestant
Seeing Matt Kemp and watching him play while he is in the running for league MVP
and the fact that the Diamondbacks opened the roof even though it was still 95 degrees outside and 76 inside! It just isn't the same when the roof is closed to me!
