Weekend in California.

Of cousre I went to California for my Grandma two weekends ago, but with the Anderson family there is always so much going on. I flew in Thursday morning. My dad had picked me up and right away we went to lunch at Bear Pit which is down in by Grandma Zandras house in the San Fernando Valley. This is one of my dad's favorite places to eat and it is such a good BBQ Place. After that we came home got Morgan and then were off to the AV fair for the evening. This trip was planned before Grandma passed away and my parents still thought we should go. It was a good evening. I love the AV Fair! I have been a huge fan my whole life. This year I was a little more disappointed just because the AV Fair has always been about the Antelope Valley and every year it becomes a little more like the LA Fair, very commercial! It makes me sad because I like the whole feel of the country fair, not a mall with rides!

On Friday we spent the majority of the day doing stuff for Grandma at the funeral home and hanging out with the family. We kept the girls all day and did slip and slide and just hung out! To me this was the best day of the weekend trip.

On Saturday we went down to Pops new house to help him organize and good will a lot of Grandma's junk. It was a hard day, but definitely a good time with Pops!

On Sunday we went to church, ran some errands and then we went to Van Nuys to the 49th squadron restuarant. It is really neat. It is like and old war place and it is right off the Van Nuys airport so you get to watch all of the airplanes take off and land. I enjoyed once again just going somewhere quiet and spending time with my family!

Then we were off to the airport to get me back to Arizona. I had checked my bags in and was about to get on the plane when I realized I was taking all of grandma's old negatives on the plane with me so I didn't loose then. But what I forgot about is when you carry a bag it has to go through the x-ray machine so I freaked out and started trying to give my parents everything, but one of the workers said it is just unprocessed film that it ruins...duh!

All and all it was a hard weekend, having Grandma pass away, but it was also a wonderful weekend with my family!
