Crazy weekend.....

It is now Thursday and I still feel like I am recovering from this weekend! This is how the weekend actually turned out.....

Thursday night I drove through the night to California. I had premade CD's with all of my favorite songs so I wouldn't have to change them while driving late at night. I made 6 CDs and only listened to I think one of them. Why.... because to my surprise, yet not very surprised because I married an amazing guy Derek stayed up the whole night talking to me the whole time even though he had to get up at 8am to go to work. Once in Lancaster I stopped by Derek's apartment and picked him up and then he drove us to my parent's house. We got there around 4am.

Once there I right away had to start my laundry because my packing was bringing all of my dirty clothes and washing them there, so I wouldn't have to do it at the laundry mat here in Az. As Derek and I brought in all of my laundry we walked past Morgan's room to find her AWAKE! I asked her what in the world she was doing and she said ....."there is a fairly odd parents marathon on" ...... Oh my goodness Derek and I both just started laughing. I think she probably got up to go potty and then was so excited for everyone to come that she couldn't fall back to sleep. So I started a load of laundry, put Morgan to sleep and Derek and I went to bed.

At 8:30am we were up getting ready and getting Morgan ready to go. Morgan and I took Derek to work and we were off to Acton to see Shay, her baby boy Weston, and all the rest of the Anderson family. Weston is 6 months old and I have never met him before so I was SUPER excited to see him! We got to the Anderson's and it was so good to hang out with everyone. As Rachel put it, it was kind of a last hoorah  because Tori and the kids just moved at the beginning of this week to St. George and Richard and Annette are trying to eventually sell their house so they can go on missions and move to Utah as well! Being there kind of made me sad because all of Annette's decorations were gone packed away and it kind of was no longer the second home that I have grown up in with my best friend our whole lives. Chris is now living there and it has all of his decorations in it. But it was still an amazing visit and I am sure there will be many more Anderson get togethers it just have to remember home is where the heart is..........

After our visit with the Andersons we made our way back to Palmdale for some lunch at a sushi and Asian buffet. It was pretty good! Then we went shopping at.....COSTCO. I tell you I can't have a day off with out going to that place. After Costco my Dad took the groceries home and my mom, Morgan and I went to the Judd's to pick up Ava and Ivie for the weekend while Sam and Shauna went to Idaho to get their furniture.

I was super excited to have the girls for the weekend. They are so cute and fun. We then went home and ate dinner and the girls and I played in the water outside. My dad had bought a slip and slide and the first time Morgan went down it it popped on the edge where the water comes out so we had to use the hose and just have a good time! Ivie is so funny. She knows exactly what she is doing and how right or wrong it is. I was trying to take pictures the whole time and Ivie kept chasing me with the hose laughing because I kept running away and telling her no.

After water time we ate dinner, watched a movie, Derek came home, and we all went to bed. We got up Saturday morning and Derek took off to work again and I took off to watch Morgan bowl. She is in bowling leagues and they are every Saturday morning. It was fun but took a long time for her and two other girls to get 2 games done! We then went to Target to get the girls shoes and to get Derek a shirt for the wedding. We got home at 12:30pm and I had to get all of the girls hair done by 1:30pm so I could get on my way to the wedding. I went to the wedding and got there at 3pm. I think I will wait to talk about the wedding in a different post because it deserves it's own. But it went great and Derek and I stayed till 10:40pm and got home by 12am. Derek told me to go straight to bed and he would stay up and pack the car so I could drive first in the morning at 5am. We left my parents at 5:30am and were on our way back to Mesa. We got into town at 12:15pm I got ready for work and was off to work at 1:45pm. Work till 6:30pm then off to our friends house so Derek could see them before he headed back to California in the morning. Monday morning Derek and I were up at 6am at his doctors apt. at 7am. He got his cast off and a brace put on, and then we were off to the airport. We ate breakfast together there and then I watched my husband leave me for another 5 weeks!

It was a very long, tiring, and hard weekend. Good thing I just had Tuesday and Wednesday off to re cooperate! I am still pretty tired and sad that Derek is not here but hopefully these next 4 1/2 weeks go by fast!
