When it Rains it pours.

Derek has been stressed out a lot lately. He is in a Masters program where a lot of the students are over achievers. Derek has been coming home lately upset over getting a 90%, 93%, and 93.6% on his grades and tests. He will stress till no end then tell me his grade. You know when he tells me anything above a 90% I am just thrilled, but then he says "I had the lowest grade though".

I finally had to sit down with him and tell him how good a 90% is ....it's an A for crying out loud!

As you can see Derek is very stressed over his classes and finals (which are this next week). Then he gets this whole Jose Canseco Independent League thing going on. He is stressing over this because Jose told him that he needs to change a couple of things and Derek has two weeks to change and perfect it if he wants to play in the summer ball league.

Now yes all of these things are stressful and very important to us, but not as stressful and important as this....Derek's Step dad Rick called us yesterday to tell us the Derek's mom was in the hospital. They did some testing and such for 24hours and nothing got better on it's own so she was supposed to have a minor surgery this evening. Then if that does not correct it she will have to have a major surgery this week also.

I just know that in three weeks all of this most likely will be over and we will be dealing with new trials. I just hope that everything goes well and in three weeks we can laugh and say... "Remember when we were so stressed over that!"
