Yesterday was one of those hard days. At the end of the day I was sitting at home giving myself a pedicure and was thinking about the day. I realized..... nothing of Derek's that was taken yesterday was anything that matters eternally. Yes they have his id, social, and took some gift cards. And yes his bike is gone too, but we have so much more then that. We still have the gospel, we still have each other, and we still have a roof over our head and food on the table! What more can you ask for. Yesterday I was complaining about how horrible my day was, when somewhere out there someone was finding out that they had lost a love one and was grieving that loss.
I am grateful that yesterday's trials were all short fixes. As Derek and I read scriptures last night we read this in Omni 1:25 " for there is nothing which is good save it comes from the Lord: and that which is evil cometh from the devil."
I really enjoyed hearing that, knowing that even if Derek's credit does get messed up from identity thief we will always have the better in our lives. We will always have the Gospel of Jesus Christ and no one can take that from us!
