In the words of Derek's dad, No Way Jose......
Derek wrote an email to a team here in Az for a summer league. In that email he addressed that he is a knuckleball thrower and he posted his you tube video. The teams try outs are in two weeks so he was seeing if it would be worth his time to see if they even wanted him there for the try out before driving the three hours to get there.
Derek then checked his email about 30 minutes later to find a letter from the owner saying this
"Can you come next week for a private tryout with jose Canseco."
Are you kidding me!!!!! I mean even if Derek doesn't get on the team (which Jose now plays on for fun, playing with Jose Canseco WOW!!!) he was asked to come to a private try out instead of the team try out in two weeks!
I am seriously freaking out with excitement over this whole thing! Derek is very humble and doesn't want to tell anyone in fear of getting down there and them not wanting him, but like I said before I just can't hold it in!!!!
YEA HUSBAND!!!!!!!!!!!
