So you know when life is too good.... and you stop to think one day "My life is too good right now"
You know something is bound to happen. I just didn't think it would all happen in 5 hours....
We got up at 6:45am this morning and Derek was late! He has to leave at 7am to be on time to teach his first class at 7:30am. So Derek rushes around the house and I said " Can I take you to school" (which would have saved the day but no) he said "No I will be fine"
Ten minutes later Derek called me to say that he rode his bike to the lightrail and went to get out his pass and ....His wallet was no longer in his pocket. He rode back home and never found it. Someone had picked it up before Derek could ride back and find it.
So I drove Derek to school and he taught his first class. In between his first and second class ( at about 9am) I tried to get on Derek's bank account and someone had tried to hack it so many times that it locked us out! Then Derek called the bank and they said that someone had tried to use his cards several times in the last hour and a half and were unsuccessful. We figured out the reason they were unsuccessful was because nothing in Derek's wallet was connected. For example when you pay credit with a debit card it asks for your zip code. Well Derek's zip code for his bank card did not match his zip code for his license. Also they tried to use it as debit and his pin number wasn't anything in his wallet either like his birthday and street address (which are both on your license). We were VERY fortunate in this aspect and I highly recommend changing pin numbers if it has anything to do with a number that is currently in you wallet with it.
I then went into work knowing that Derek was taking care of business. The most alarming thing is that Derek's social security card was in there so we have to go to the office tomorrow and get it flagged and hopefully they haven't been able to create any damage yet!
At work I thought it would be good to check my cell phone and see how Derek was doing. He had text me saying " Call me as soon as you go on break". That's enough to scare you! I called him and he told me that things just got worse! I really thought in my head "How worse can this get!?!" He went on to say that he went out side to go ride home and .....Someone stole his bike!!!!!! NO JOKE!!!!!
Oh my gosh I was shaking! I could not believe how how mad I was at such DISHONEST people. Derek's bike was taken cable cut midday how could someone not see on a campus with 60,000 people!!!
Oh man first we had the wallet issue and now the bike. I told Derek that we need to start going to the temple weekly again, because man I can not handle this!!! Seriously I have been so annoyed and nausea all day!
Honestly is the best policy so always try to remember to be honest in you daily doings with your fellow man!
