My parents decided that they needed smart phones! OH MY GOODNESS!!!! I love my parents and think this is the funniest thing considering before this they had everything on their phones blocked, including text messaging. When I talked to my mom about it she said she was going to throw the smartphone (a droid) across the room, but she has since got the hang of it. My mom's first text to me was this......
" Wish you were here to help me with the pictures for the retirement... lol Mom"
I told Derek "Oh No... after one day my mom knows what lol is!!!" Derek and I both laughed. Later that evening I called my mom and asked her what I could do to help with the pictures. I them asked her....
"Mom why did you put lol at the end? It wasn't a very funny statement" She told me "No lol...Lots of love, isn't that what it means?"
Of course I went one to tell her lol was laugh out loud! And she laughed!
I love that my parents are now texting with excitement! I have never thought my parents are old....never. This situation made me feel that my parents are getting a bit old!
