My 26th Birthday

For my 26th Birthday all I told Derek I wanted was a weekend with the family! He told me ok, and so the planning began. I asked my mom if they would like to go to Las Vegas for the weekend and they were in. On Thursday, February 3rd I waited for Derek to get done with teaching and we were off to Vegas. It took us the 5 hours to get there instead of 6 because the new bridge above Hoover dam was finished so we went right over instead of having to go down through the bridge. We got to Vegas and went straight to Robin's and relaxed. Then my parents got there and we went to the buffet at Boulder Station where my parents were staying. The next morning we got up and Derek hung out with his mom and I went outlet shopping with my parents. We then met up Friday afternoon and went to more outlets to shop. What was funny is Derek found all of his birthday presents but I couldn't find anything for me! I know that is selfish but seriously I could not find anything I want. We all went home afterwards and rested then off to our favorite place....Circus Circus!!!! It was great because it was Friday night and no one was there. We walked around and played many games. Derek shot basketballs to win Morgan a big teddy bear! She was so tired, you can tell by her eyes in the pictures. 

Saturday we did even more shopping, then did shopping for Sunday dinner. Then we went to Sushi for my birthday dinner at a sushi buffet that was amazing! It was Morgan's first time eating sushi and she loved it. On Saturday night we went bowling at Sam's Town which was fun, but everyone was super tired.  I got a chance to take a good look at my mom's eyes while there and you can totally see how her eyes are still a little black and blue from her skin cancer surgery on her nose! After bowling once again we went shopping really late and Morgan was about to pass out until Uncle Derek had this great idea of pretending to be roller coaster. He would go up and down the aisle so fast and made all of the roller coaster noises. Morgan just kept yelling and laughing. It was so funny because you could hear them from aisle away!!!!

Then on Sunday we went to church and then Rick cooked us a nice bbq dinner for the Super Bowl. It was a super fun afternoon. Derek played football with the kids and I of course took pictures. Then we watched the Super Bowl which was a good game. While watching the game Robin brought out some of Derek and Andrew's old toys and Derek found his favorite wrestlers...Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage!!! I think it is so funny finding old things like that! That night we had cake and ice cream ( Costco chocolate cake and thin mint ice cream! It was so good! ). On Sunday one of my favorite things I did was take pictures of all of the cute kids! 

 Then on Monday morning I got up and we were on our way back to Az. 

For my birthday I received...From my parents: edgers for work, clothes, and new croc for work also. From Derek's mom I got make up and money. And from Derek I got a picture of a camera bag. That's right because the order didn't get there in time he printed a picture of it out and wrapped the picture! He seriously is so cute! I loved my birthday weekend in Vegas with all of those that I love!
