So tired but can't go to sleep....

A few years ago when Derek and I were making our way back to Virginia for his last semester out there we were at my parents house and I was putting Morgan to bed at about 11pm or so. I remember she was crying and I just told her to go to bed already. She turned to me and said "If I fall asleep, I will wake up and you will be gone." That was the truth. We were leaving at about 5am and it just broke my heart that she would say this. Tonight as Derek and I were finishing up laudry at 10:30pm I was walking with him in the dark and I told him..."I am very tired but can't go to sleep" and he said "Why" and then he remembered and finished by saying "because when you wake up I will be gone" and that is exactly how I feel. Derek and I spent such a great day together today that it just stinks to have him leave tomorrow. I am super sad already but I just hope that with working 40 hours a week I will remain busy enough to make the weeks fly by. I love Derek so much and I know this is what we need him to do for our family right now. It is just going to be super hard!!! Please let these next 16 weeks go by so quickly.
