This year for Derek's birthday we celebrated in California for two reasons.. 1: We were there and Morgan wanted to have Derek's birthday 2: my mom helped buy Derek's gift and she really wanted him to open it in front of her. We of course had a cheesecake for Derek's birthday and as you can see by the pictures Morgan was so concerned that he wouldn't get them all so she helped out! Derek got a new Lab top for his birthday which was well over are usual birthday budget, but seeing as his is not charging properly and we have tried to get it fixed multiple times, and the fact that he has to write a 100 page thesis this next year I found it to be a very appropriate gift. His lab top is over 7 yrs old so I feel that we definitely got our moneys worth there, but it was time to get a new one! It was funny, since I wanted the lab top to come full loaded with programs I had to order it online from Costco.com. We got it sent to my parents house and of course it showed up the day after we headed back to california so Derek opened a piece of paper and we are still waiting to get it. Once we got back to Az and it was Derek's actual birthday we went golfing, I went to work and then we went out with Eric and Alexis to Oliver Garden for dinner. Oh yeah since Derek is leaving me all summer to go sell Dewey pest control I decided to get him his own metal clipboard and put pictures in it. When I went to go buy one my dad said he had a few from work that he no longer needed and gave Derek and hand me down clipboard for his birthday.
