Derek and I are on two completely different sleeping patterns, which will be good i think once we have kids. But right now it is just a funny part of our lives. I was raised early to bed, early to raise. I have always been a morning person. Derek on the other hand had a father growing up who went to school after he went to work in Derek's childhood years. So Derek has told me that ever since he was young he would stay up really late and wait for his dad to get home. As the years went on our patterns got worse. I was a 5am seminary girl (which means I got up at 4am). And Derek was a "hopefully he didn't have a late night and he made it to seminary" guy. Don't get me wrong Derek went to seminar all the time like he was supposed to, but he would just look so tired.
Now that we are older and incharge of our own schedules I am still an early riser and he is not only a late to bed, but also an early riser. Because of school Derek stays up late doing homework, and then gets up early for school. Which means he naps often.
Well now oyu can see how we sleep, let me tell you how I sleep with Derek not here.... OH I DON'T. Seriously you would think I was Derek. There have been many nights like last night where I am up until 3 or 4am just watching TV in bed. I know absolutely crazy! Every night I get in bed about 12pm, but stay up until way late. I also sleep with the TV on because if I don't I think I am hearing things. I leave it on the Disney channel all night! I know I am silly but this is something I have to do to finally fall asleep.
I was talking with Derek the other day about this problem and he said that it was a good thing because we will be on the same schedule =) But of course the minute he gets back home I am sure I will be able to sleep just fine! Only 11 more days!

Hahaha I LOVE that you listen to the disney channel :) Why don't you turn on a music station - like CMT or one of the Music Choice stations? Funny. Read the Work and the Glory before you go to sleep. Or, simply wait 11 more days to get back to normal :)
