This weekend my Grandma Zandra passed away (which I will talk about in another post). The night I got home My mother said that they had taken two full suitcases of pictures home. So of course, me being the picture freak, I had to go through them right away!
I pulled them out and found the most interesting pictures. Tons from the 1950's that were amazing. So my parents, Sam and Shauna, and I sat around passing along all of these pictures. As I was looking through them I found a picture of Dodger Stadium and another and another. I asked my Dad about them and he said that my Grandpa Richard Anderson helped build Dodger Stadium. That he was a crane working and placed the preassembled seating into the stadium structure!
How cool is that!!!!!! I love Dodger Stadium and I am so beginning to love Family History! I have never been told much about my Grandpa Richard because he died when my dad was somewhere around 18 yrs old. So it was a good experience to find this out!
In these pictures are the crane that my grandpa worked on, Aunt Marla, Grandma Zandra, my dad, and Grandpa Richard, and pictures of the dodgers playing and the left field stadium!
I will now for sure have a greater appreciation for Dodger Stadium knowing that where I sit to watch my favorite sport and favorite team is where my grandpa labored hard.
I am so happy and excited to say that Dodger Stadium is "The Stadium that Grandpa built!"
