Between Tuesday and Wednesday we had used a full tank of gas, which usually lasts me a week! Crazy....well after my visit with Julie on Tuesday I went and picked up Derek at the Phoenix Airport at 10:30pm. I hate this airport and couldn't find Derek anywhere. So finally I just parked and he came and found me. Then we drove home and sleep. We were both exhausted from a long day. Luckily I had Wednesday off. We took off at 9am to go to a doctors appointment for Derek's wrist. The doctor came in took some measurements on his flexiblity and looked at the x-rays and said "You can get back to all your sports". It still kind of scares me for him to be playing sports on it so soon, but the doctor said the worst think he can do is fall on it. The doctor even said that bowling would be fine. Of course Derek was so excited he has been itching to golf all summer. He was like a little kid and we decided to make a date to go to the driving range that evening.
We next went to a office in Scottsdale to look at a used computer that was on e-bay. I have been editing my pictures on a laptop not realizing how terrible the difference is from when you look at it on the computer screen and when you print. I have never really noticed it until I have been doing so many shoots lately. The reason for the difference is because depending on the angle of the screen and the angle that you are looking at it the contrast can be completely off. So I had been searching for an imac computer for weeks and finally found one for a great price. So far I have been using it and absolutely love it and feel it was worth every penny.
Then we were off to ASU where Derek had a meeting. I went home and set up my computer. Then when I picked up Derek he was like a little kid coming home from his first day of school. He got in the car and explained that Jex (a friend from school) asked Derek to go to the driving range tonight so Derek asked if his two friends from school could come too! So it was a date. We were all going to met there at 8pm.
Then Derek and I were off for our fun filled day of shopping. Or looking.... Derek had won a couple of competitions with his Pest control selling and he decided that he wanted a new putter and driver for golf. So we spent the rest of the day going from store to store looking for the one store that he could get both and ask for the gift card from there. It was a fun day being able to just hang out with Derek and talk with him as he was testing things out.
At 8pm we headed over to the driving range to hit some balls. We got there and there were tons of guys standing around but only a few hitting. We realized the shop was closed so we went to as what was going on and there ball pick up was broken. So we were all pretty sad ESPECIALLY Derek, until we saw an area with no one hitting. The boys then went over grabbed some baskets and picked up balls. So instead of no hitting it was free hitting. We also started something because once areas would clear of hitters all of the people standing around started going out and grabbing balls.
It was a good day and a lot of fun to have Derek back home! I love having him back! I am actually sleeping again.
Derek had told me that he got me a gift for being a strong wife over the summer and for living by myself and such. He can home and brought me my first coach wallet and purse! I love them both so much they are so nice!!!!! He also brought me home a "Dodger Dog" which is a dodger pillow pet! Oh my nieces are going to be so jealous! I love my pillow pet!
I can't say that life is back to normal yet, because we have been crazy busy and trying to get used to having us two together again, but I can say that I love having my husband back and like I have said before and so grateful that Summer 2011 is over!

Sounds like a fabulous reunion. And HELLO, I am dying for your IMac. No seriously, DYING!!!!
Yay for the Mac! I am so happy for you.
I am so glad he remembered and got you that Coach purse set. And.... the Dodger pillow pet. I am sure you realize how much thought and time he puts in to getting you the perfect gift. I've been with him a lot of the times he's been searching especially, in the beginning....remember your first camera from him and oh yes the bear, and all the Circus Circus prizes. That child of mine loves you so much. So do I.
