This year I got off work at 6pm on New Years Eve and Derek decided to plan the evening. We went home and I had two minutes to change before we took off to the bowling alley. Derek got a special for $12 dollars each we got 3 hours of Bowling. Derek bowled team games and I was only able to make it through 6. We bowled from 6pm-9pm. Then we took off to our friends Eric and Alexis house to meet their new baby boy Oliver! It was fun to hold him and to hear their birth story! Birth stories are all so different and all so scary to me!!!! We spent from 9pm- 12am with them. We then went home and went to bed after receiving multiple text messages from all of our family in California!
We got up the next morning and brought in the New Year by going to a baptism of Joseph and David. A father and son who Derek has been teaching lessons to in our Ward. Derek was asked to give the talk on baptism which I thought was neat. It was great to start the year off by going to a baptism. After the baptism we made our way over to lunch at our favorite place Cafe Rio.
After that we hung out with Jex and Aubrey and went to a driving range at like 9pm it was freezing but a lot of fun to hit balls with our husbands!

Sounds so fun and eventful. But the golfing does look cold. Andrew was supposed to take the boys golfing today but it's way too windy and cold :(
