Living the crazy life!

Right now our life is absolutely crazy.  I work 4:30am to 10am at Costco every morning stocking shelves. Derek has been knocking doors for Dewey Pest Control from 1:30pm to sundown. We hardly see each other and life has just been crazy. We have had multiple stresses a long the way like Derek graduating, me photographing weddings and Derek taking tests and getting ready to start his credentialing program. Our main stress was that Derek had to pass a test called the CSET in order to become a high school teacher. It is a 3 part test and you have to pass all 3 parts. There were multiple friends of ours that have told us how hard this test is and that you will fail at least one part of the test your first time. Possible fail 2 parts.  Derek walked into the test with no hope of passing all 3 parts and little hope of passing 2. He knew he would pass the linguistic part though (which he should because he just graduated with a MASTERs degrees in Spanish linguistics! ) but the other two parts were about culture and something else. Derek took these Spanish tests a month ago and he knew he failed the culture on and wasn't sure about the other, but he also knew he passed the linguistic part. For a month my husband has been stressing about this stupid test and how he will study for it and prepare to take it when it has such a broad range of subjects to study for. Last Monday night I was driving home from my parents house and Derek called me to say that he got his test results via email. He said he wasn't sure if he was reading it right, but he thought he passed all 3 tests!?! I was so confused because it should be pretty straight forward. He said that it said pass but there was no score and I told him that is exactly how my Cosmetology state testing was. You don't get your score unless you fail. I got home and looked and you could tell so much stress had been released off both of our shoulders. He had passed all 3 parts and we are one step closer to him getting a teaching job, a house, and a foundation for our future family! Words can not describe how proud I am of my husband and the hard work that he puts into this life for our family. You know you only take your knowledge with you to the Eternities and I am so grateful to be sealed to a man with such great knowledge. He is a keeper for sure. In a couple of days we will be celebrating 6 years of marriage and I just think to myself in this day and age of how many people don't make it this long and I am so grateful for the 6 years we have shared as an eternal couple and the 14 years we have spent as best friends!
