California trip....

On January 30th we took off to California right after Summer's one month appointment. At her one month she had one shot and did just fine. She was 11.6 lbs and 22.5 inches. We made it to California with intentions of staying a week and we ended up staying for a month! Since I was on Maternity leave and Derek was teaching online we were able to stay a whole month and it was so nice to visit with family. On February 3rd Summer was blessed. Derek gave her a wonderful blessing and we were so blessed to have so many of our family there. We then spent the next 3 weeks hanging out with family, while Summer experienced many firsts. We celebrated My 28th birthday where Derek bought me my DREAM CAMERA!   After receiving the camera I decided my goal in the next two years is to get debt free and be a stay at home mom/ photographer! We went to Huntington Park one day, golfing with Ava Morgan and Daddy, going to watch Morgan bowling, and just hanging out with family. Summer has become very responsive at about week 6 and has started smiling a ton. I just love her smile! We had such a great time being in California. It was so much more special now that we have a child and we were able to share her with our family! Another very exciting thing... Derek, Summer and I got our first car as a family. We bought a 2010 Honda Accord!
